very happy. He put the bag with the turtle on the ground and moved to the lion. As soon as the hunter left, the
mouse opened the bag and freed the turtle. When the hunter reached the lion, it suddenly stood up and ran away.
Then when the hunter turned back to pick up his bag, the turtle has left.

（2022·辽宁阜新·八年级期末）The Adventures of Pinocchio, also known as Pinocchio, is a cartoon for
children by Carlo Collodi. It is about the adventures( 冒 险 ) of Pinocchio Pinocchio and his father, a poor
woodcarver(穷木匠)named Geppetto.
In the story, the poor man Gepetto makes a puppet( 木 偶 )for a better life. He gives the puppet the name
Pinocchio. Pinocchio is not nice to this old man at first. After Geppetto makes Pinocchio’s feet, Pinocchio gets out
of the door and runs away into the town. Geppetto has to go to the police office when he finds Pinocchio.
Pinocchio goes back to Geppetto’s home alone. He has no food to eat and asks an old man in the neighborhood( 附
近)for food. But the old man puts some water on him. He almost gets his feet burnt( 烧掉) when he tries to dry
himself. Luckily, Pinocchio’s father comes home and makes him new feet.
There are interesting things about Pinocchio. Every time he tells a lie, his nose gets longer. He always wants
to be a real boy, and he becomes a real boy in the end.
Pinocchio has important lessons for children. If children don’t listen to their parents, they may face terrible
things. If children love and take care of their parents, they will get rewards(奖励).And children should not lie.
