知识点梳理及练习：

1. Follow me, Eddie.

follow 是动词，跟随，后面直接接表示人或事物的词做宾语，相当于 come after。

例句：You go first. I’ll follow.

The little dog follows the boy everywhere.

注意：Follow me.相当于 Come with me.

要点拓展：(1)follow 做动词还可以表示“效仿，理解，服从”。

例句：As students, we should follow the school rules.

(2) follow 的形容词为 following，接着的，接下来的。

例句：Which of the following sentences is right?

固定搭配：1. follow the rules 遵守/遵循规则

2. follow sb. to do sth 跟着某人做某事

3. follow after 追求，模仿

4. follow the example of 以……为榜样

练习：I’ll lead you to visit our school. Please________me.(跟随)

答案：follow

2. Are you sure, Hobo?

形容词 sure 确信的，有把握的，unsure 不确定的。

例句：I am sure that he is honest.

He is unsure about this.

要点拓展：sure 还可以做副词，当然可以，口语中相当于 certainly。

例句：-May I use your pen?

-Sure/Certainly.

要点辨析 be sure of, be sure to, be sure that

be sure of 对……有把握后接名词、代词或动名词，表示对客观事物有肯定的认识

和判断，主语必须是人

be sure to 一定；肯定表示局外人的推测，评论，主语不一定是人。用于祈使句

时做“务必”之意。

be sure that 对……肯定主语必须是人，连词 that 可省略。

例句：Are you sure of the result?

It is sure to rain tomorrow.

Be sure to come tomorrow.

I am sure(that) smoking is not good for your health.

3. Let’s go down here.

go down 下去；向下走，常用来表示位置或价格的下降，反义短语为 go up。

例句：Do you think the house prices will go down?

The air will get fresher as you go up to the top of the mountain.

要点拓展：go down 还表示“顺着……，沿着……而下”。

例句：Go down this street; you can see it.

练习：( ) -It’s too cold on the top of the hill. Let’s________.

4. Let’s go on a trip!

【1】go on a trip 相当于 take a trip，去旅行。

例句：Are you going to take a trip this summer vacation?

He often goes on a trip to that faraway area.

【2】trip 是名词，旅行，旅程

例句：Class 9 had fun on the school trip.

注意：Have a nice/good trip!可以祝愿对方旅途愉快。它与 Have a nice day!和Have fun!意思

相当。

例句：-Sally, I am going to Jilin tomorrow.

-Have a nice/good trip!

练习：( ) -I’m going to Yichun for summer vacation. It’s a good place to relax.

5. Sunshine Zoo is north of Sunshine Middle School.

be north of 在……北边/面。“be+方位名词+of...”常用来表示相对来说较小的地点之间的位

置关系。

例句：The hospital is east of the supermarket.

要点辨析：on, in, to

表示较大地点之间的位置关系或小地点和大地点的相对位置关系时，常用“ be+in/on/
