一、教学目标：
1. 学生能掌握以下单词：decide, try, paragliding, feel like, bird, bicycle, building, trader, wonder,
difference, top, wait, umbrella, wet, because of, below, enough, hungry
2. 让学生了解 Jane 的假期经历，培养阅读技能。
3. 让学生通过对文章的学习，了解马来西亚槟城山和海墘街，增进对其他国家的了解。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点：
1) 掌握本课时出现的生词及表达方式。
2) 阅读短文，获得相关信息，提高学生们的综合阅读能力。
2. 教学难点
阅读 2b 部分的短文并完成相关要求。
三、教学过程
Ⅰ. Revision
1. Daily greeting.
2. Check the homework. Let some Ss report where they went on vacation.

Penang is a Malaysian (马来西亚的) state
located on the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaysia, by the Malacca Strait(马六甲海峡 ). It has
two parts: Penang Island, where the capital city, George Town is located on the Malay Peninsula(马
来半岛).
Penang Hill covers a number of hills, with the highest point at Western Hill which is 833 m (2,733 ft)
above sea level. Penang Hill is also known by the Malay name Bukit Bendera ( 升旗山), which
actually refers to Flagstaff Hill, the most developed peak.
Ⅲ. Reading
Work on 2a
1. 告诉学生们这篇日记是 Jane 在七月十八日又一次参观了 Penang Hill 后，所写的。读日记，
并用括号中单词的正确形式填空。
2. 方法指导：首先，再次明确这是一篇日记，因此应用一般过去时态；然后，通读一遍日记
的内容，了解大体内容；最后，综合每句的内容，用括号中动词的正确的形式填空。
3. Ss read the diary and try to fill in the blanks.
4. Check the answers. (Look at the big screen)
Discussion
Ask Ss whether they have a similar experience with Jane. Let them tell the experience to their
students.
Ⅳ. Language points
1. …so we decided to go to the beach near our hotel.
decide 意为“ 决定”，经常用句型：
1) 决定做某事 decide to do sth. ;
2) 决定不做某事 decide not to do sth. 。
它的名词形式为 decision, 常用句型为 make a decision to do sth.。
翻译下列句子。
1）你决定去买一些特殊的东西吗？
Do you decide to buy anything special?
2）我决定明天不去打篮球了。
I decide not to play basketball.
2. My sister and I tried paragliding.
try 意为“尝试，努力”，既可以作为动词，也可以作为名词。
常用句型为：
1）努力做某事 try to do sth.
2）尝试做某事 try doing sth.
3）尽某人最大努力做某事 try one's best to do sth.
3. I feel like I was a bird.
feel like+从句 意为“觉得好像是……”
e.g. I feel like I’m walking through the history. (翻译)
我感觉好像是倘佯在历史的长河中。
[拓展]feel like 还可意为“觉得好像”， “想做……”。它的其他用法：
feel like + ① 名词或代词
e.g. It feels like rain soon.
感觉天好像很快就要下雨了。
feel like + ② 动名词
e.g. I don’t feel like walking today.
今天我不太想去散步。
