You studied hard, and passed your exams. Now you just need to

plant some trees if you want to graduate. May, the Philippines

passed a law called The Graduation Legacy for the Environment Act.

Trees will be planted in forests, mangroves (红树林), protected

Under new initiative (倡议), about 175 million new trees could be

planted by students each year. If only 10 percent of them survive,

there will still be 525 billion new trees (grow) taller after just one

generation.

Youth are making other environmental efforts. Earlier this year,

an Indian school began accepting plastic garbage instead tuition

money.

“Kids are now having to take it into (they) own hands to

ensure sustainable world，” said China Daily.

是there be 句式，设空在句中应作定语，trees 与grow 是逻辑上

的主谓关系，应用现在分词作后置定语，填 growing。

9．of　考查介词短语。根据语境“学校开始接受塑料垃圾

短文改错　(2019·洛阳三模)

Last Sunday, our class paid the visit to a local old people's

home. After arrive there, we saw some old people doing Taichi. They

left us an impression of being energetic or healthy. But there were

also some old people seated in their wheelchair. They were not quite

well, which made me very sad. The old must have experienced a

hard life in past. I really wish them to be happy, peace and healthy

for the rest of our life. During the visit ，we chat with the old and

did some cleaning there. We plan to visit them again in the future

and hope for more people in our society care about the old so that

they can live more comfortable.
