一

1. parent，grandparent

parent 名词，“父亲或母亲”，指父母双亲之一。作主语时，谓语动词用单数形式；parents 是parent 的复

数形式；意为“父母”，指两个人；作主语时谓语动词用复数形式。father（爸爸）和 mother（妈妈）是

具体的称谓；在口语中可以用 mom 和dad。

例如：Your parent is coming, don’t worry. 你的家长就要来了，不要担心。

Her parents are workers. 她的父母亲都是工人。

同样，grandparent 指祖父母中的一个人，而 grandparents 指的是祖父母两个人。同样祖父母单独的具体称

谓是 grandfather（爷爷/姥爷）和 grandmother（奶奶/姥姥）；口语中也可以称 grandpa 和grandma。

例如：His grandparents live in the village. 他的祖父母住在那个小村庄里。

2. sister / brother

这两个词都是可数名词，复数是 brothers / sisters；意为“姐姐，妹妹/哥哥，弟弟”。英语中需要表示长

幼区别时通常在 brother，sister 前加上 elder，表示“兄，姐”；加上 little / younger 表示“弟，妹”。

例如：This is my little sister Lily. 这是我的妹妹 Lily。

It’s a photo of my elder brother. 这是一张我哥哥的照片。

【基本用法】

those 是指示代词 that 的复数形式，指代较远的多个人或物。this 的复数形式是 these，意为“这些”，指代

较近的多个人或物。this, that 与单数名词连用；these, those 与复数名词连用。“These/Those+复数名词.”用

来介绍两个或两个以上的人或物，意为“这些/那些是……”。

This is my sister Lucy. 这是我的妹妹 Lucy。

These are beautiful gifts. 这些是漂亮的礼物。

That is a large factory. 那是一个大工厂。

Those are large factories. 那些是大的工厂。

5. a photo of my family

a photo of my family 的意思是“我的一张全家福照片”，相当于“ my family photo”。of 是表示名词所有

格，是常用来表示无生命的名词所有格的形式, 表示所属关系；意为“……的……”。

例如：a map of China 一幅中国地图

the leg of the table 桌子的腿

辨析：photo 与 picture

两词都有“照片、相片”之意，都是可数名词，其复数都在词尾加-s，其区别如下：

photo 常指拍摄的“照片”。

例如：This is a photo of my brother. 这是我哥哥的一张照片。

picture 不仅指“照片”，还可以指“图片、画像”。

例如：Can you draw a picture? 你能画一幅画吗？

6. and

and 是并列连词，意为“和”。它可以连接两个或者两个以上并列的词、短语或者句子，有时不需要翻

译出来，可以用来表示：

（1）并列关系

例如：My mother and my father are both teachers.

我爸妈都是老师。

（2）承接关系

例如：This is my book，and that’s your book.

这是我的书，那是你的书。

（3）强调反复、连续

例如：They laughed and laughed.

他们笑了又笑。

7. have

have 在本单元是动词，意为“经受，经历”，常用于一些固定搭配或者祝福语中。

例如：Have a good time! 玩的开心！ Have a good trip! 旅途愉快！
